Dunleagues is fun because the dopamine drip is near constant and its profitable to tryhard. In leagues you can play with it AFK by simply taking draining strikes and essentially afking every PVM non boss task, or you can tryhard and spec out supervisors along with ornate. Both are extremely rewarding because there's a visible light at the end of the RS gold tube, something which OSRS primary game lacks IMO
I disagree. Imo TL is simply better equipped. The programs they include (map unlocks, relics, no GE) customize accounts development & enable multiple"optimum" /"meta" trajectories through the game.
The most important dilemma OSRS has is that it is (effectively) a competitive single player game with a rigid global meta and mechanics for gamers to exchange USD for best in slot equipment.
I didn't say the sole reason TL is fun is due to its relative speed in contrast to primary game. That's a massive part of it however; TL doesn't and debatably could not exist within a vacuum.
I believe each game mode has it's location -- chief game enables you to do things where you want, TL let us you perform them when you want. They work together well and I like things the way they are.
A competitive skilling scene wouldn't exist if it weren't for the relatively slow xp prices and difficulty in progressing your character to ascend.
I really do see why some players might not be interested in the skilling/levelling part, if they're more into pvm/pking/socializing. But grinding abilities is a core component of the game which many enjoy.
I am not saying 07scape does this flawlessly, or that things are more balanced, but it is 100% clear 07scape, just like many other MMORPG's, is cheap RuneScape gold far from a skill-based game, or a instant-action kind of sport.
