I simply don't see why people set content-related goals, this match has such poor content in fact. Unless, of course, you like questing, but by 70+ abilities you can essentially have pursuit cape which takes hardly any hours relatively speaking. It is RS gold easy enough already tbh, all you need is time. Dungeoneering isn't even much of a"ability" skill, because you are reliant upon 4 other peoples skills too. In case Jagex made solo dungeoneering around 350k exp/hr, I think it becomes more of a skill-skill. Article may have only been a mess of unorganized ideas by my primary point is this: I think that in the event you eliminate the grind you remove a lot of the match.
Also to create more clear again, I'm stating that runescape doesn't have really good endgame besides personal achievement, when you take out the achievement you take out the game tbh. Some fair points made here, especially about removing huge chunks of the game as well as the needlessness of content objectives. However, I'd disagree with your quest point: it might have been the case once, but it isn't any more that a player in 70+ may perform all the quests. Since quests are my motivation to increase abilities, this is important, as I've noticed a big increase in the amount of skills I want to raise and the height they have to achieve: a quest cape will require: 76 defence, constitution, mining, woodcutting, and crafting; 77 Ability; 78 attack and strength; 80 magic; 74 smithing, thieving, and firemaking.
None of these are boostable, and at this top end, they suddenly take perhaps twice as many hours as the prerequisites that are 70 or under. Equally, these are all sequels to quests I have been able to reach with comparative ease at mainly 70ish stats. That is why I believe runescape is pushing players to more of a grind in some areas and it does not look reasonable.
I had much rather see abilities like dungeoneering that require ability (and possibly a fantastic team, which I presume is a really potent and interesting idea introduced with this particular skill) and see those principles applied to other things. Agility would be much more fun and better gameplay if it was skill-based and something you could become good at getting fast xp prices, in contrast to the dumb simple clicking marathon that it is. Such an update would not automatically make the game simpler, but it could make it take much less time. As you've said, the gameplay is easy enough: it's just the time it takes. Make it even more difficult but faster and you will have a far better game. Me personally, I am ok with EoC and no EoC - I just need them to nerf goliaths, swifts, and spellcasters. GF everyone who got a cmaul, yeah? I think that the main problem is merely that, how would you fix the grind? I think the ideal way would be to get high level content which provides you more XP, but it's also instanced, which means you're not going to get crashed to all hell. Sort of like Dungeoneering, I guess. Said high level content could a) offer you food/pots within or b) give you enough cash so that you can purchase food/pots. They simply have to make sure it is buy rsgp paypal not easily bottable, and I believe that it would do the job.
